How the quiz works
7–8 quick cards. Most answers add to your score. A couple of cards only help us tailor the answer or estimate costs, and some are skipped if they do not apply to you.
In short
The quiz is 7–8 quick taps, not a long form.
What we score
We score practical friction: cost, delays, currencies, and how hard money is to move.
What we do not do
We do not assume stablecoins are always cheaper or always the right answer.
Scoring
- Q1, Q2, Q5 are high-weight (up to 25 points each).
- Q3 is medium-high (up to 20 points).
- Q4, Q6 are medium (up to 15 points).
- Q7 is flavor — it doesn’t affect your score.
- Q3b (how you send abroad) and Q5 (confidence moving a meaningful amount quickly) are skipped if you don’t move money across borders.
- Q3b is informational only — it routes the bleed math, not your score.
- The total is clamped to 100.
Tiers
Your stablecoin fit score is determined by the total. The tier labels add a personality layer on top of that practical score:
- 0–30: Certified Stable
- 31–50: Mildly Unstable
- 51–70: Unstable
- 71–85: Highly Unstable
- 86–100: Professionally Unstable
Bleed calculation
We take the midpoint of your selected cross-border volume range and multiply by an inferred current-method rate from Q3b (Wise-like 0.6% or bank-wire 3%). We then subtract a 0.5% all-in stablecoin rate to estimate the route gap.
The result is rounded to the nearest £10. Ten-year savings are simply ten times the annual figure — we don’t model compounding because the actual benefit depends entirely on what you do with the savings.
Honesty caveat
Stablecoin transfers are not automatically cheaper than Wise for every pair and every size. They are much cheaper than bank wires. Against Wise, the savings depend on the corridor and the off-ramp on the receiving side.
Recommendations
We filter the product database by country (UK), your inferred use case, your score and tier, and a UK-promotability flag set per the FCA’s 2025 financial promotion rules. The output is framed as options, not generic crypto picks. Read more in The Honest Sheet.
